I just received some big news from YouTube…they’ve featured us in a post on the official YouTube blog! Check it out here:
Not only that…but we’ve also been featured by NBC in this article:
And of course it’s nice for me to get recognized by YouTube and NBC for this…but I think the real story here is YOU.
Because you were the one who really made the New Year’s Giveaway such a huge success. Everyone always thought in the past that to have a successful fitness course, you had to pitch, pitch, pitch in your advertising and never give anything away for free. But we’ve proved in the New Year’s Giveaway Event that that’s not the case.
During the event, we really went out on a limb and gave away more free stuff than we ever had before. We released a new free video every day — including one of the full workouts from the course. We also gave away FIFTY free copies to the course, since the response to the initial New Year’s Giveaway video was so strong.
And you guys made your voice heard loud and clear — you’re not interested in hearing any slick corporate advertising or empty infomercial promises. You just want a trainer that brings the goods…and if you get results from the free stuff, you’ll share the videos with your friends and help bring more people into the community. And those who choose to take it to the next level can invest in the full course, knowing they’ll get results…and even for those who can’t, you’ll be able to start working out and getting results with the free stuff alone.
So I will definitely be giving you lots more awesome free stuff in the future. Dan and I are planning another giveaway event as we speak (this time, for a contest to see who can transform their bodies the most with our workouts…stay tuned for more on this.)
If you want to show that you’re tired of corporate advertising, and that the way to build a real community on YouTube is to give away quality FREE stuff…post these links on your Facebook or Twitter:
I really believe that our community is changing YouTube (and the entire fitness community) for the better, and thank you again for helping us to make a difference.
