Is there a difference in the exercises men and women do to lose weight?

By Travis Max
Women come to me all the time with weight loss goals and they immediately begin to worry when I preach to them about how strength training is the ONLY way to loss weight and keep it off. The goal remember is to permanently raise your metabolism. You can only accomplish this by replacing your Excess BODY FAT with LEAN MUSCLE through STRENGTH TRAINING. Women are afraid of getting broad shoulders and manly arms. This is understandable… but also improbable.
There is no difference in the philosophy behind losing weight. Especially when the only variable is gender. Women naturally have more body fat than men. Men are also on average taller than women…. My girlfriend tells me that women are smarter than men, but im smarter than her so I say “I love you.” (Joke!) Anyways… There are genetic predispositions that men and women both face. Just like I cant turn my brown eyes green, A women cant broaden her bone structure to give her manly shoulders no matter what exercises she is doing.
Granted, a woman can over train her delts, traps, and arms to give her a broader look than she currently has, but most women just dont have those goals. Women are more after the slender, soft look, with definition when appropriate. So instead of spending the majority of their time on the bench press, women will do exercises like lunges, leg curls, and mountain climbers, so they work on lower body, legs, buttocks, and core to give them the look that they are after.
There are a vast number of women who are currently following the Six Pack Shortcuts program. With a little bit of help from the on staff trainers, women are to create a workout program that works for them as an individual. Instead of being one of the many women lost in the back of an aerobics studio. The Six Pack Shortcuts team of trainers will break down your long term goals into short term milestones so you stay motivated but begin to see results as fast as possible!
So dont be afraid of the weights ladies! They are crucial to your success. Until next time…. TRAIN HARD!!!
